HuntingtonFreePress :: Ivy Tech to Offer Drivers Training

Northeast announced that it will offer Driver?s Education Instruction at the Vocational Technical Building in Huntington, Ind., starting Oct. 17.
Anyone 15 ? years old or above who wishes to take Driver?s Education Training can sign up for $359, which includes 30 classroom hours and six driving hours. A total of six classroom and five online classes are scheduled between October 2011 and December 2012. Additional classes will be added as needed.
Huntington County Community School Corporation approached Ivy Tech Community College?Northeast in reference to providing Driver?s Education to students in the community. This service fits well in Ivy Tech?s mission as a community college.
?Ivy Tech Community College?Northeast is very pleased to be able to provide driver?s education training for Huntington North High School students,? said Ivy Tech?Northeast Chancellor Jerrilee K. Mosier, Ed.D. ?When approached by high school officials to provide driver?s training on a year-round basis, we saw this as another great opportunity to connect with the Huntington community and provide a valuable service.??
