healthcare brands. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our entrepreneurial, customercentric
company in the role of HR Vice President in our Norcross, Georgia Office.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources will be the key confidant and
advisor to the senior management team on all human resource matters. She/he will play a
crucial role in driving the business and people strategies for the organization. As such, this
individual must demonstrate the combination of business acumen and Human Resource
functional knowledge to guide the development of HR strategies that will attract, develop and
retain the breadth of talent who will drive Benchmark Brands? business success.
As a critical business partner and member of the executive team, this leader will contribute to
Benchmark Brands? overall strategy with a focus on most effectively leveraging the human
resources of the company. The Vice President of HR will have responsibility for all aspects
of Human Resources management including talent acquisition, talent management
strategies, compensation and benefits, organization design, training and leadership
development, as well HR operations.
This position is located in our main office in Norcross, Georgia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Be a trusted advisor and key confidant to the CEO.
? Create, implement, communicate and successfully lead the HR strategies that directly
align with the company?s strategic objectives.
? Add value to the development of the business strategy and establish the strategic
Human Resources agenda to ensure that the business needs of Benchmark Brands
are anticipated and addressed.
? Participate as a member of the executive management team with a particular focus on
the company?s human capital and how that resource is best leveraged, led and
managed. Provide a clear understanding of the human resource impact on
operational and financial decisions under consideration.
? Advise the CEO and executive team on organizational design, change management
and aligning the workforce with company goals.
? Lead an internal talent acquisition/recruiting function to staff open positions utilizing a
best of breed talent acquisition process; build on-going sourcing relationships with
recruitment firms, professional organizations and universities to facilitate a talent
pipeline.
? Develop and implement strategies that elevate the organization?s competency in talent
acquisition and pipeline development.
? Implement integrated performance management systems to ensure focus on business
goals, development of employee capabilities and career potential, aligned reward
systems and retention of talent.
? Design and implement succession planning processes; ensure organizational
redundancy in key roles.
? Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a
positive employer ? employee relationship and promote a positive work environment.
? Lead the development of metrics for Benchmark Brands and for the HR function that
will guide leadership in measuring and managing organizational performance.
? Be responsible for the overall development and administration of compensation and
benefits by developing, recommending and implementing up-to-date and cost effective
programs aimed at motivation, rewards and retention.
? Guide the development and implementation of employee-related programs and
processes that will both support the business requirements of Benchmark, drive a
culture of success, and reinforce the attractiveness of Benchmark Brands as an
employer.
? Ensure that HR infrastructure systems and operational effectiveness exists in
managing HRIS processes, payroll outsourcing and compliance.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The ideal candidate will have a strong background of demonstrated Human Resources
leadership, having driven HR programs in rapidly developing, changing environments and
having functioned successfully as a significant and accomplished HR business leader.
Functional expertise
Broad and deep experience as an HR generalist with knowledge of HR business processes
and with a particular emphasis on the areas of organization design, change management;
experienced in designing and implementing proactive strategies to address business issues.
Demonstrated expertise in the areas of talent acquisition and talent management /
development.
Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and respond to HR and company metrics.
Business knowledge
Broad business and financial knowledge; ability to apply to human capital implications.
Experience in fast paced, mid-market, growing organization.
Knowledge of Retail, Online Marketing, and /or Ecommerce; understanding unique
implications of consumer direct environment to the human resources required to drive the
business forward.
Has applied financial acumen to department budgeting, cost projections, and metrics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
? BA/BS degree required
? 10+ years of progressively responsible HR experience within a corporate environment
with a minimum of 4+ years in senior HR leadership roles, including leadership for HR
strategy and practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Advanced degree, MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
? SPHR certification
? 15+ years of progressively responsible HR experience within a corporate environment
with a minimum of 6+ years in senior HR leadership roles, including leadership for HR
strategy and practices.
? Experience in on-line, retail or marketing driven organization

? Demonstrated success in managing and directing talent acquisition programs to meet
staffing requirements.
? Ability to serve as a confidant and advisor to CEO/Senior Management team and
departmental managers in human resource matters.
? Demonstrated strong foundation in all HR areas including compensation, benefits,
employee recruitment and legal for both corporate staff and hourly employee
operational units.
? Familiarity with online retail and internet marketing, and their implications in the talent
arena.
? Practical, results oriented leader who is ?hands on? and has demonstrated confidence
in his/her own abilities to get things done.
? Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility
quickly.
? Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts and information both orally and in
writing to all levels from non-exempt to senior leaders.
? Ability to be successful under adversity and willing to make tough human resource
decisions and carry them out effectively.
? Team player who acknowledges successes and takes responsibility for failures.
