Fatal Collision at 880 Freeway Near Stevenson Boulevard in Hayward

HAYWARD, California (June 25, 2013) ? A fatal collision occurred at about 4:52 ?a.m. this morning on the Southbound 880 just south of Stevenson in Hayward. ?The collision involved a Honda Element SUV and a dark colored Semi-truck.

The vehicles collided after the big rig apparently cut off the Honda Element in the No. 2 and 3 lanes, according to the CHP report. A couple other vehicles were also involved in the aftermath. A SigAlert was sent out and the coroner responded to the scene of the accident.

More information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
